Let Main Street Vinyl Clean Your Records
Do you have an LP that doesn’t perform as expected, or a collection of albums from your parents’ attic that haven’t been played in years?
Whether it’s a 40-year-old record needing thorough cleaning, or a newly purchased LP that arrived unusually dirty from the manufacturing process, our ultrasonic cleaning service is here for you.
Main Street Vinyl provides an Ultrasonic Record Cleaning service using a gentle process that combines ultrasonic waves with distilled water to meticulously clean your LPs. Following the cleaning, each LP is delicately dried by hand, avoiding heat to ensure your record is immediately ready for play on your turntable or to be placed into a new sleeve.
The complete cleaning process (wash and dry) for each LP ranges from 10 to 30 minutes. Additionally, we offer to house each cleaned LP in a new paper sleeve for an extra $0.30 per album, while all original inner sleeves are reinserted into the album cover separately from the record.
Cleaning Rate: $2.00 per LP
The service fee for cleaning one LP is $2.00. Note that this price is per LP, not per title. For example, a double album such as “Frampton Comes Alive” or “Physical Graffiti” will cost $4.00 to clean, equating to $2.00 per LP.
Please limit your cleaning visits to no more than 3 LPs unless you are prepared to leave them with us. For further details on the number of LPs you can bring and the expected turnaround time, see below.
Turnaround Time:
1 LP: Immediate service. Expect a wait time of 10 to 30 minutes.
4-10 LPs: 5 business days. Leave 4-10 LPs with us, and they will be ready within 5 business days.
11+ LPs: By appointment only. Leave your LPs with us, and our staff will provide an estimated completion date. Should we finish early, we will inform you.
Remember, this count is per LP, not per title. Thus, a double album is 2 LPs, a triple album is 3 LPs, and so on.
We Cannot Guarantee Play Results:
We offer to clean your LPs using our professional Ultrasonic Cleaner, which effectively deep cleans the grooves of your records, removing dust, dirt, and particles that have settled.
However, this is not an LP repair service. If your LP skips, we cannot guarantee the cleaning will fix it, although it might help. LPs that are worn, warped, or scratched will unfortunately remain in that condition. We assure you that our process will provide an excellent, thorough clean, far superior to hand cleaning or using a system like Spin Clean. But we cannot promise that ultrasonic cleaning will improve the grade of an LP from VG or VG- if the condition is due to scratches or general wear.
