Record Store Day is an annual event inaugurated in 2007 to “celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store”. Held on one Saturday every April and every Black Friday in November, the day brings together fans, artists, and thousands of independent record stores around the world.

About Us

Main Street Vinyl is Burlington, North Carolina’s premier independently owned brick and mortar record store. The store was opened in November of 2016 by original owners Joshua Garrett and Amy McLamb. It was born from a love of music combined with the timeless sound and emotion that vinyl evokes.

Current owners Ed & Kate Meyer took over in October of 2023. One of the things that brought Ed and Kate together is their love of music. They plan to continue the tradition of providing new and used vinyl records to Alamance County, introducing music lovers young and old to new genres of music, and proving quality record players, turntables and supplies to help protect your vinyl colletion. Whether you have never owned a record, or are an avid collector, we have something for you. We buy, sell, and trade vinyl records and accessories.
