Ready to find your collection a new home? We pay fair prices, offer free evaluations, and make the whole process easy — no pressure, no hassle.
Those records meant something. We get it.
Maybe they’ve been in the family for decades. Maybe they followed you through every move since college. Maybe you just haven’t had a turntable in years and the collection deserves more than a shelf in the garage.
Whatever the reason, we’d love to give your records a second life — in the hands of music fans who will actually play them. And we’ll pay you fairly for them.
What We’re Looking For
We buy vinyl LP albums — the standard 12-inch records — in all genres: rock, jazz, blues, funk, country, folk, pop, R&B, soul, soundtracks, and more.
Please note: We purchase LP albums only. We are not currently buying 45s (7-inch singles) or 78s (shellac records). If you’re unsure what format your records are, just reach out — we’ll help you figure it out.

A Few Things Worth Knowing
Do I need an appointment?
Not for smaller collections (under 25 records). For anything larger, please reach out first so we can plan the right time. The form above is the easiest way to start.
What condition should my records be in?
We look at records in all conditions. Clean, well-kept records in original sleeves will naturally be worth more, but don’t let condition stop you from reaching out — we’ll give everything an honest look.
How do you determine value?
We evaluate based on condition, title and artist, pressing, and current market demand, using established collector pricing guides along with our own knowledge of what our customers are looking for.
How long does the evaluation take?
For a small collection (under 50 records), usually 30–60 minutes. Larger collections take longer — that’s exactly why reaching out first helps us plan the right amount of time.
Can you come to me?
We generally evaluate records in the store. If you have a very large collection and mobility is a concern, reach out and we’ll do our best to work something out.
What if I have a mix of LPs, 45s, and 78s?
Bring in the LPs — that’s what we’re currently buying. We are not purchasing 45s or 78s at this time.
Do you pay cash or store credit?
Both — your choice. We can pay cash or offer store credit toward anything in the shop.
Whether you have 10 records or 1,000, we’ll treat you and your collection with respect. Main Street Vinyl has been part of Downtown Burlington since 2016 — music and people are what we’re here for.
